Atlanta is home to many incredible nonprofit organizations, each making a difference in their unique ways. At We Create Tech, we’re committed to empowering the next generation through technology. As a leading nonprofit organization in Atlanta, our mission is to provide underrepresented youth, particularly Black and Brown students, with the tools, education, and resources they need to succeed in STEAM fields. From coding to virtual reality, we are bridging the digital divide and creating opportunities for future innovators.
While we focus on high school and college students, we also offer specialized programs for younger students upon request. Additionally, for students outside of Atlanta, our Learning Management System (LMS) provides access to our courses online, ensuring that location isn’t a barrier to learning.
Our Mission: Empowering Youth Through Technology
At We Create Tech, our focus is on addressing the tech industry’s race gap by providing high-quality, hands-on learning experiences in technology. We prepare high school and college students to become future tech leaders by offering innovative programs in the following areas:
1. VR Design & Simulations
Students gain hands-on experience in designing immersive VR environments and simulations, developing critical skills for careers in the virtual reality space.
2. Audio Video Technology/Film
Our training covers sound engineering, film editing, and content creation, preparing students to enter the media and entertainment industries.
3. Digital Design & 3D Modeling
We emphasize graphic design, UI/UX, and 3D modeling, with a focus on design thinking and problem-solving for real-world challenges.
4. Career Development
Our programs equip students with career-oriented tech skills, helping them thrive in the job market or pursue entrepreneurial ventures.
5. Coding & AI
Students learn coding languages (Python, JavaScript, block coding), game design, robotics, and AI development to create solutions for their communities and the digital economy.
Specialized Programs for Younger Students
Though we focus on high school and college students, We Create Tech also offers specialized programs for younger students upon request. These programs are designed to introduce younger learners to tech in an engaging and supportive environment, ensuring they have access to the same opportunities.
Learning Management System (LMS) for Non-Local Students
To make our tech education accessible to students beyond Atlanta, we offer a Learning Management System (LMS) for non-local learners. Through our LMS, students can participate in our courses online, complete assignments, and engage in interactive lessons from anywhere. This allows us to reach even more students, ensuring that geography isn’t a barrier to gaining essential tech skills.
