This year’s MLK Day of Service was more than just an event—it was a powerful reminder of what happens when mission-driven organizations come together to create meaningful change.
We were honored to be hosted by the Andrew and Walter Young Atlanta YMCA and the Nourish + Bloom Foundation for this incredible day of impact. With the support of Microsoft, who generously provided giveaways, and the passion of our amazing team, we took another step forward in bridging the opportunity divide.
A Day of Connection and Purpose
The event was filled with inspiring conversations and opportunities to share our mission. We were thrilled to meet so many like-minded individuals who care deeply about empowering communities through education and technology.
One of the highlights of the day? Gaining new applicants for our Google Career Certificates scholarships! These scholarships open doors to high-demand career pathways, giving participants the skills and confidence they need to thrive in the tech industry.
Driving Change Together
At We Create Tech, we believe in showing up—whether it’s at a community event, in classrooms, or through partnerships that expand our reach. The MLK Day of Service reaffirmed the importance of collaboration and the collective power of organizations working toward a common goal: breaking down barriers and creating opportunities for underserved communities.
We are grateful to our partners and supporters for making this day possible and to everyone who stopped by to learn more about what we do.
What’s Next?
This is just the beginning. As we continue to grow, we are committed to creating even more opportunities for Black and Brown students to thrive in the tech world. Every connection we make, every program we launch, and every life we impact is a step closer to closing the opportunity divide.
Here’s to the journey ahead—onward and upward!
Stay tuned for more updates and stories of impact from We Create Tech. Together, we can make a difference.
